Rutger Knibbe
Rutger Knibbe works as an analyst at the Economic Bureau Amsterdam. Rutger graduated in Business Administration from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Economics. In his thesis, he investigated the effectiveness of different policy forms aimed at reducing poverty and income inequality. He is currently in the process of completing his Master’s in Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Public Economics. His master’s thesis on Economics also focused on inequality, titled “The Effect of Differential Investment Performances, Resulting from Portfolio Diversification, on Wealth Inequality in the Netherlands.”
During his studies, Rutger developed modeling skills, working with tools such as Excel, R-Studio, and Stata. He combines his preference for working on socially relevant research with sharp quantitative skills. At Amsterdam Bureau for Economics, he carries out research for the evaluation of the private rent subsidy in the Caribbean Netherlands.
