Aruba Fair Trade Authority opens its doors

On September 15, the Aruba Fair Trade Authority (AFTA) opened its doors. This special moment followed years of preparations to which Amsterdam Bureau for Economics (EBA) contributed.

In the November 2021 advisory report regarding Aruba’s business and investment climate, EBA recommended the establishment of the AFTA as a priority project to strengthen the business and investment climate. Previously, Cees van Gent and Koert van Buiren (both EBA) advised on the design of Aruba’s competition policy.

EBA congratulates Aruba, especially the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry, on this important result.
