Koert van Buiren, director of Amsterdam Bureau for Economics, contributes to the authoritative European Handbook for Law and Economics of State Aid (EU State Aid Control: Law and Economics). Together with co-author Alexander Rose – legal director Public Funding and Subsidy Control Koert writes the chapter on the General Block Exemption Regulation. This regulation provides that certain categories of state aid do not have to be notified to the European Commission.
