Adrienne Maduro joined the Amsterdam Bureau for Economics in October 2024 as an analyst. Adrienne is currently pursuing a master’s degree in European Competition Law and Regulation at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). She has experience in the enforcement of competition policy in the Caribbean, having worked at the Aruba Fair Trade Authority (AFTA) this past summer.  

Before she commenced her master’s, Adrienne obtained a bachelor’s degree in European Law from Maastricht University, with a minor in Business Law. Her thesis, titled ‘The Return of the EU Sustainability Agreement: Balancing competition and collusion in the name of environmental protection’, explored the extent to which exemptions of sustainability agreements push the limits of EU competition law.
