Purchasing power model for Aruba

Amsterdam Bureau for Economics (EBA) is developing a purchasing power model for Aruba, commissioned by Minister Geoffrey Wever of Economic Affairs, Communication and Sustainable Development and the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI). The model will be used for policymaking and it maps the expected effects of policy measures on the purchasing power of households in Aruba. The project consists of two phases: in the first phase, EBA develops the model, while the second phase consists of training DEACI on the application of it. This initiative contributes to the development of effective policy and thus to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in Aruba.
